Features · Splitting
Split the bill once, and let the app remember who owes what.
One person pays, everyone else owes a share, and three weeks later nobody remembers the numbers. Split the receipt where it already is — in the app — and the shares, the payments back and what is still owed are kept for you.

How it works
From the receipt, in under a minute.
Split it
Open the receipt and tap Split, or split a whole project from its own screen. No receipt at all? Split an amount instead.
Choose how
Equally; by shares, where a family of four counts as four; or a fixed amount each. The cent that does not divide goes to you, not to a friend.
Settle when it suits
Tick each person as paid when they pay you back. What is still owed is on the receipt and on the project, until it is not.
A picture, not a spreadsheet
Share who owes what in one image.
Make a picture of the split and send it in any chat. It shows the total, each share and, if you choose, what was bought, line by line — so a shared cart that was not entirely shared can be seen to be fair.
You see it first; nothing is sent until you send it. Who has already paid you is nobody else’s business, so it is not on the picture.
Straight answers
Common questions
How can I split a bill?
Equally, by shares — where one person can count as two or four — or with a fixed amount for each person. You can also split an amount that has no receipt.
What happens to the cent that does not divide?
It goes to you, the person who paid, rather than to a friend.
Do the other people need the app?
No. They receive a picture of the split in whatever chat you use. Only you keep the books.
How do I record that someone paid me back?
Tick them as paid on the split. What is still owed updates on the receipt and on the project.
Can I split a whole trip?
Yes. Put the trip’s receipts in a project and split the project between the people who were there.
Where next
Split the next shared bill here.
It is quicker than the group chat arithmetic, and it remembers.
